The Weekly What

The Weekly What
Obama gets shot
Oh don’t get scared about it, it was just a false alarm, but indeed, someone was planning to shoot the American president. A 20 year old man named Joaquín updated a Facebook status saying he was going to kill Barack Obama and upload a Youtube video doing it. Fortunately the guy who updated this under the name of “Jay Valor” was arrested; he was liberated thou (paying a punishment of 70k dollars), for there were no ways to prove he could take his plan into action.
Last Friday night…
Ashley Long, a 14 year old American girl, died last weekend in Eagle Point (Oregon) due to a very, very unfamiliar reason: inhaling helium. The night she died she lied to her parents saying she was going to go to a sleepover at a friend’s house, and instead she went to a party with alcohol, drugs and helium. Witnesses affirm that she didn’t want to play with it, but they were pushing her to do so; her girlfriends told her it wouldn’t hurt and that she was going to be ok. This tragic accident even though it’s very unlikely to happen, was caused because the gas gets into the blood in bubbles and impedes the blood to get to the brain, which causes an infarct. This is an example of the consequences of peer pressure (group pressure).
I wanna be like you!
All of us, even if we watched or not the Oscars, know about the dress Angelina Jolie wore: a black strapless dress with a cleavage on the right leg. Isn’t it familiar to some of you? Not happy with taking Brad away for Aniston, SHE WANTED TO STEAL HER LOOK TOO! Two years ago, in the Globe Awards, Jennifer Aniston almost the exact same dress as the one Angelina wore last Sunday.   But that’s not all; Jolie didn’t have the enough glamour to wear the designer’s dress, since she was exaggerating her moves and poses to show her leg too much. This, besides the fact that for most of us consider Aniston is friendlier than Jolie, has made the critics go on her favor.

Takénobu
His real name is Nick Takénobu Ogawa, he is a japanese cellist and composer. This guy started playing cello since he was 6 years old, but it came a time when he became bored of classical stuff, and that's when the interesting part begins.
He taught himself to play and sing at the same time, and then started composing songs mixing genres that are considered unusual for cello.

This took place in Banus, here in Hermosillo. The status of the man is delicate, indeed, the doctor said he was in the "first 72 critic hours". The man was doing some changes for the house to be sold when the accident occurred. He has now severe first and second degree burns in 50% of his body, and is being treated in ISSTESON.

Smoking kills
And talking about fire and stuff, here's an advice for those who smoke before taking a nap or sleeping at night: there was a fire in a jail in Honduras. The cause? One of the prisioners fell asleep while he was smoking a cigarrette. The fire killed 359 men and 471 survived to it. Even though it was an accident, it could have been prevented if the prisioner had a little bit of prudence or conscience.

Sheen vs. Kutcher

Some of us think that Two and a Half has not been the same since Ashton Kutcher replaced Charlie Sheen due to Sheen's legal problems. And guess what? Charlie agrees with that. Recently he made a public declaration in which he said "I'm tired of pretending that this show doesn't suck... I'm tired of pretending that Ashton Kutcher doesn't suck". But in the past days he made a second declaration apologysing with Kutcher and wishing him the best in his carreer.
