Sister Act (1992)

This comedy film from 1992, starring Whoopi Goldberg, is a fun movie with a very original story. For sure, you will laugh a lot.

Deloris van Cartier (Whoopi Goldberg) is a singer in a show in Reno. She witnesses an assassination committed by his boyfriend, who is the owner of a casino. Before Vince, Deloris’s boyfriend, can be arrested, Deloris needs to go into witness protection. The police detectives take her to a convent located in a neighborhood of San Francisco, and disguise her as a nun. Soon, Deloris will have to deal with a totally new kind of life for some time.

BOOM BOOM KID

This argentinian alternative rock band was formed in Buenos Aires by the lead singer of a previous band, Fun People, Carlos Rodríguez (also known as Nekro, Boom Boom Kid or simply BBK).
The band has influences of salsa, rockabilly, pop rock and a little stains of hardcore left by Fun People's style.
This band is kinda eclectic, since the music styles change a lot from song to song, besides, the lyrics may switch from english to spanish in a single song.
Through his music, Boom Boom Kid seeks sending a message of peace, love, justice and equality, singing themes that may vary from political issues to love stories.
He himself has said that with this project, he wanted to do something completely different, that's why he even changed his name and music style.
Boom Boom Kid publishes his work through his own record label : Ugly records
As BBK he has launched the following material:

A lot of former fans of Fun People, claim that Nekro betrayed his spirit and "sold" himself by becoming Boom Boom Kid, truth is that there comes a time for every artist to mature, and we could not expect to have the wild, young, rebel guy with dreadlocks forever. Change is good, change is free, Nekro, Boom Boom Kid, Fun People, it doesn't matter what you call it, music with spirit never dies.

I Wanna Hold Your Hand (1978)

       This comedy film was released in 1978, but it takes place in 1964, just the time when The Beatles’ career was at its greatest. Filled with comedy and good music, this film is something you shouldn´t miss if you´re a Beatles’ fan. 

            The story is about four girls and 2 guys from New Jersey who decide to go watch the Ed Sullivan show live because the Beatles are coming. Each one of them has a different reason to go.

Rosie is a great fan of Paul McCartney and she wants to meet him in person. Grace is convinced that she could get a lot of money if she takes exclusive pictures from The Beatles. Pam goes against her will (she´s getting married the day after the show and will run away without her mother´s permission) even though she secretly loves The Beatles. Janis thinks that this famous band “undermines artistic integrity” and she decides to go to protest about their music. Larry is the guy who gets the car from his dad´s business (undertaker). Tony joins them in the last minute because he wanted to hang out with Janis. 

            The movie shows all the situations these guys went through to get to the show; it was not as easy as many may think. Will they be lucky enough? Find out what happens watching I Wanna Hold Your Hand.

The soundtrack for: Chrono Trigger

Chrono Trigger is an rpg for the Super Nintendo. This game is frequently praised by gamers as one of the best rpg´s in history, good gameplay, good story, and good soundtrack.
The game´s soundtrack creates a mysterious atmosphere that really goes well with the game, so well, that it can make you feel in it even if you´re not playing.
Music like this in videogames is what makes you think that more than just entertainment, they can be considered true pieces of art. The atmosphere, the characters, and of course, the music,  carry emotions with them, not just buttons and scores.

Johnny English Reborn (2011)
      This spy comedy film is the sequel of the film Johnny English (2003). Intrigue, persecutions and funny scenes are what make this film aawesome.
Johnny English (Rowan Atkinson), after spending 5   years learning martial arts at the Tibet due to a disaster he was responsible of, returns to MI7 (Secret Agency). He needs to stop the possible assassination of the Chinese premier. Johhny is assigned a junior agent named Tucker.

After some investigation, English and Tucker find out about a secret group of hired assasins called Vortex, which is consisted b y three men. He finds out who the first member was and managed to get a part of a 3-piece key that is crucial for Vortex existence. He still needs to findoutwho the other 2 members are.

Obama gets shot

Oh don’t get scared about it, it was just a false alarm, but indeed, someone was planning to shoot the American president. A 20 year old man named Joaquín updated a Facebook status saying he was going to kill Barack Obama and upload a Youtube video doing it. Fortunately the guy who updated this under the name of “Jay Valor” was arrested; he was liberated thou (paying a punishment of 70k dollars), for there were no ways to prove he could take his plan into action. 

Last Friday night…

Ashley Long, a 14 year old American girl, died last weekend in Eagle Point (Oregon) due to a very, very unfamiliar reason: inhaling helium. The night she died she lied to her parents saying she was going to go to a sleepover at a friend’s house, and instead she went to a party with alcohol, drugs and helium. Witnesses affirm that she didn’t want to play with it, but they were pushing her to do so; her girlfriends told her it wouldn’t hurt and that she was going to be ok. This tragic accident even though it’s very unlikely to happen, was caused because the gas gets into the blood in bubbles and impedes the blood to get to the brain, which causes an infarct. This is an example of the consequences of peer pressure (group pressure).

All of us, even if we watched or not the Oscars, know about the dress Angelina Jolie wore: a black strapless dress with a cleavage on the right leg. Isn’t it familiar to some of you? Not happy with taking Brad away for Aniston, SHE WANTED TO STEAL HER LOOK TOO! Two years ago, in the Globe Awards, Jennifer Aniston almost the exact same dress as the one Angelina wore last Sunday.   But that’s not all; Jolie didn’t have the enough glamour to wear the designer’s dress, since she was exaggerating her moves and poses to show her leg too much. This, besides the fact that for most of us consider Aniston is friendlier than Jolie, has made the critics go on her favor.
